I attached great importance to sound quality by using studio equipment to record this great piece of music composed by Franz Liszt. My special thanks goes to Dr. Volker Bending, who made this multi-channel and high definition recording possible. Please hear this piece only with a good hifi system. Played by Daniel Mikus in the assemly hall of the Phoenix-Gymnasium, Dortmund, 2008.

This beautiful piece is one of Rachmaninoff´s most famous and interesting compositions, which uses the complete sound intensity range of a piano. Mysterious, haunting, expressive, drowning. Especially the 3rd part of this ABA piece uses four staves to accommodate the massive number of notes (occasionally chords consisting of 12 tones at a stroke).

The 1st Arabesque out of Claude Debussy´s "Deux Arabesques", one of his earliest works, composed between the years 1888 and 1891. I attached great importance to sound quality by using studio equipment to record this piece. So I did completely without video taping, hope it´s okay nevertheless.
